National Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan
The law "On the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted July 2, 1992 at the tenth session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a picture of the rising sun over the mountains, rivers and blooming valley, surrounded by a wreath composed of wheat ears on the right and the left - from branches of cotton with open bolls of cotton.
At the top of the emblem is octahedron, symbolizing the sign approval of the republic, in which the crescent and star. The crescent and star is the great symbol of the Muslims.
There is in the center is depicted Khumo - bird with open wings - symbol of happiness and freedom. These images symbolize hope towards peace, kindness, happiness and well-being of our people.
Below the bow of the wreath ribbon, symbolizing the State Flag of the Republic, there is the inscription «O'ZBEKISTON».
